Critical Vulnerability Patched in Azure AI Foundry

Microsoft has patched a serious vulnerability in the Azure AI Foundry platform – the vulnerability received the maximum score of 10 out of 10 on the CVSS scale.

The issue (tracked as CVE-2026-85889) was related to missing authentication. Simply put, attackers theoretically had a way to remotely increase their access privileges on the platform without having to log in.

So far, there is no information suggesting that anyone managed to exploit the vulnerability. Since this is a cloud service, Microsoft has already deployed the fix on its side, so users do not need to take any additional action.
